They have evaluated our accounting methods and made changes in order to minimize our income taxes as well as to better reflect our profitability. I have been a business client of Gary Hall's since 2003. He was with me during my partnership in another practice, helped with the transition into my own practice, and is now an active part of my practice today. As a small business owner and health care provider, I have many duties and responsibilities. I am not an accountant and have no desire to add that role to my job description. Payroll, Federal taxes, State taxes, Property taxes, W-2 Forms, 941 Forms, W-3 Forms, W-4 Forms, 1099 Forms, Department of Workforce Development, Accounts Payable, 401k, Profit Sharing, the Department of Labor, General Ledger, Financial Statements, Depreciation and a million other accounting and business "musts" happen every single day.
It is much smarter and safer for me to have Haywood Henn take responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness in the completion of all of these forms, reports, and submissions.
Furthermore, we submit our daily business to them as a cross check and oversight of our administrative people. Off site review of accounts and daily activities (deposits, bank statement reconciliation, credit card statements) is another safeguard against embezzlement and errors.
Finally, my time is best spent doing those things for which I've been trained and attending to the parts of the practice that serve my referrers and patients the best. I would never consider bringing this back in-house again.
