Chris Haywood, CPA
Chris is a founding partner and current managing partner of Haywood Henn P.C. For over 30 years, he has worked with privately held business owners and individuals to help them realize their financial goals. Chris focuses on developing a relationship with each client to better understand their needs and assist in proactive decision making. He has worked with a number of Haywood Henn clients since he first started in public accounting.
Chris is experienced in auditing, taxation and finance and has developed a niche with wealth and compensation planning. His clients include closely held businesses in a variety of industries including: professional business groups, service industry, construction and real estate. He also works with many high net worth individuals and their investment and legal advisors to achieve tax and estate planning goals.
A 1979 graduate of Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Chris is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Indiana. He previously worked for both a local and national accounting firm before establishing his own business over twenty years ago. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chris is married, has two daughters and is active in Northview Christian Life Church in Carmel.
John Henn, CPA
John graduated from Marian College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. During college, he interned for a large local CPA firm and accepted a job with them upon graduation, where he worked for three years before joining our firm. He was promoted to junior partner in 1999 and became a senior partner of Haywood Henn P.C. in January 2009.
Throughout his career, John has worked with privately-held business clients in retail, manufacturing, restaurant, construction and professional corporations assisting in all areas of accounting, taxation, and finance. He also has extensive experience in U.S. Department of Labor pension audits and currently oversees all of the audit work for the firm. John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Indiana CPA Society.
John is married and has two sons. He is a Boy Scout leader and an active member of his church.
Gary Hall, CPA
After serving seven years in the U.S. Navy, Gary returned to college and graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Initially, he worked for an area firm where he became a partner four years later. Twenty years ago, Gary started his own firm in Indianapolis, and then merged his practice with Haywood Henn in 2007.
Gary has extensive experience working with restaurant franchises in addition to many medical and dental practices. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Gary and his wife live in Indianapolis. He is a member and Treasurer of the Indiana Water Ski Association and a member and President of the Fairland Ski Club.
Lisa Stanley, CPA
Working primarily during tax seasons, Lisa has worked with Gary Hall since 2002. She
is skilled in reviewing both business and individual tax returns.
Lisa graduated from Valparaiso University in 1989 with a BS in Accounting with honors. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society. She has previously worked in both public accounting and in private business.
Lisa and her husband, Dan, live in Zionsville where they are raising four children.
Megan Veigel, CPA
Megan joined the firm in 1998 and became a Manager in 2006. She works with small businesses in the areas of accounting, tax planning, budgeting and cash flow analysis. She also handles the needs of individual clients regarding tax planning and tax returns. In addition to her client responsibilities, Megan oversees staff training and development for the firm.
Megan is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1998.
Megan has a daughter and is an active member of St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Sarah Wilkes, CPA
Sarah joined the firm as Senior Staff in 2008 after three years at a local public accounting firm. She primarily focuses on accounting and financial services for small businesses and pension plans, including audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements. Sarah is also the firm’s certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor and can provide insight and advice regarding the setup and best use of Intuit Quickbooks software. In addition to accounting and financial services, Sarah is also involved in tax planning and preparation for both individual and business clients.
Sarah is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Indiana and is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business at Indianapolis in 2006, and was a high grade award winner on the Indiana Uniform CPA Examination for 2008.
Sarah is married and volunteers with the Hamilton County Humane Society.
Joni Orwick
Joni worked for several years in a medical lab, in a hospital and at the Purdue University vet school. Over twenty years ago, she changed her career path and joined Gary Hall as an employee in his accounting practice. Joni performs payroll, write-up and accounts payable functions for numerous business clients in addition to working with individual tax clients.
Joni and her husband live in Carmel where they are members of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. She has served as the church’s Treasurer and as a member of the Board of Trustees. Joni has two children and two grandchildren.
Kathy Browning
Kathy joined the firm in 2008 as a Para-Professional. She has had a business relationship with the partners of Haywood Henn, P.C. for over 13 years as the in-house accountant for several of the firm’s clients. Kathy has over 20 years of experience in accounting, working both in the private sector and in public accounting firms. She assists small business clients with monthly write-up, payroll and accounts receivables and payables functions in addition to preparing individual and small business tax returns.
Kathy received her accounting and tax education at Butler University. She is married with three children and three grandchildren and attends Madison Park Church of God in Anderson.
Linda Sackett
Linda joined the firm in 2008 as Office Administrator, bringing administrative experience from multiple industries. She is the initial team member you meet when visiting or contacting the office and is committed to quality service and solutions for the clients and staff of Haywood Henn, P.C. Linda is responsible for all administrative duties, scheduling, accounts receivable and assisting with tax preparation services.
She resides in Indianapolis where she is an active member of Northview Church. Linda has three children and one grandchild.
Linda Haywood
Linda graduated with honors from DePauw University in 1980 with a major in English and a minor in Business. She completed graduate work at the University of Indianapolis and Indiana University in accounting and business. For several years, Linda worked for Indiana National Bank in finance, management consulting, and private banking. She then moved to USA Group where she marketed student loan servicing and brokered student loans to financial institutions in the Midwest. Linda serves as the marketing and sales manager for Haywood Henn.
Linda and her family reside in Noblesville where she has been active in the school system serving on PTOs, the Community Advisory Council, Redistricting Committee, Soccer and Dance Team Boosters, and Moms In Touch. She is active in Northview Church in Carmel.
Susie Casey, EA
Susie joined the firm in 2011. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, working in both the private sector and in public accounting firms. Susie focuses on providing payroll processing, accounts payable and monthly financial statement preparation to small business clients. She also prepares individual tax returns as well as small business income and property tax returns. Having earned the certification as "Enrolled Agent " (or EA), Susie is licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service on the taxpayer's behalf.
Susie and her husband Mark reside in Sheridan, have three children and two grandchildren and attend Genesis Church in Noblesville.
